FAQ's

  • How many dogs will be walked at once?

The Maximum ration of people to dogs will be 1:6. There will never be anymore than 6 dogs walked at one time.

  • Is Bounce insured?

We are fully insured with Cliverton for dog walking, secure field hire, trainer insurance (1-2-1 & group), pet transport & loss of keys/replacement locks, this includes Public Liability & Care, Custody and Control.

  • Are the staff K9 First Aid Trained?

Yes, there will always be a First Aid Trained member of staff on site. Certificates are available on our website.

  • What happens if my dog is taken ill during their walk?

Any dog showing signs of disease or illness while in the care of Bounce will be isolated from other dogs and returned home as soon as possible. Early warning signs of heat stroke, bloat, seizures or serious injury are health emergencies and the dog must be placed under veterinary care. All other dog owners will be informed if their dog has been exposed to a possible pathogen that may cause disease or illness. All cases will be recorded in the accident book. The dog will not be allowed back on premises until it has been cleared by a vet.

  • Where will my dog get walked?

All dogs will get up to an hours group walk around our 1 acre secure field. If the dog is unable to take part in the walks other forms of enrichments will be available during this time. As this is a secure field on the premises all dogs will be let off their leads once the handler is happy with their behaviour and social skills.

  • How will my dog be transported?

If required all dogs will be transported in the Bounce van. It has 5 x secure transport cages in the rear of the van and 2 x seat belted areas in the cab. The van has 2 x fans in the rear area and Air-conditioning in the front that flows through to the rear. All dogs will be provided with water and bedding. No dogs will be left unattended in the van for longer than required (i.e. dropping another dog into their home).

  • Will my dog get left alone?

No, the premises will always have staff on site during opening hours.

  • What do I need to leave for my dog?

Please bring any items & information necessary for pets to be adequately cared for example food, medication, leads, tags and collars. A suitable collar or harness with an ID tag with owner’s details must be worn at all times, as this is a legal requirement.

  • Can I come a view the premises?

You can come a view the premises any time during our opening hours we will be happy to show you around. We do ask that you do not bring your dog with you unless we have been informed prior to your attendance.

  • Do you offer a meet & Greet?

Yes, All dogs must undergo a meet and greet session before being introduced to the group walks. This will only be done once the registration form has been filled in and approved. Screening will consist of meeting the staff to ensure that the dog poses no danger to people whilst greeting and playing with toys. The dog will then be able to join the group walks.

  • Can my Puppy attend group walks?

Yes, as long as your puppy is up to date with their jobs they can attend. Dogs under 12 months old will be monitored so that their individual needs should be met. This may mean socialisation and play time with appropriately sized adult dogs or individual human attention. All dogs less than 12 months old will be given the opportunity to take part in activities and enrichments, also interact with people and dogs to promote their socialisation and emotional growth. Exercise will be monitored as over-exercising a growing puppy can overtire it and damage its developing joints, causing early arthritis. A good rule of thumb is a ratio of five minutes exercise per month of age (up to twice a day) until the puppy is fully grown, i.e. 15 minutes (up to twice a day) when three months old, 20 minutes when four months old etc. Once they are fully grown, they can go out for much longer.

  • Does my dog need to be vaccinated to attended group walks?

It is advised that all dogs attending Bounce should be fully vaccinated (Parvovirus, Leptospirosis, Hepatitis, Distemper) and on a regular flea and worm treatment. Proof of this must be shown before attending the meet & greet.
